Today's FEATURE utilizes data compiled by the National Association of Realtors(NAR) that reveals that 51 metro areas in the US have posted more than double digit gains in the value of home prices in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period a year ago. The Sherman-Denison area of northern Texas leads with a gain of 33%. The NAR study are wide-spread and are principally attributed to "a mix of thin supply and strong demand". These results contradict and are in contrast to current US economic activity which has weakened during the same period.
