Today's FEATURE focuses on an economic paradox that sends investors a very mixed message. The Baltic Dry Index which measures the movement of raw materials by sea indicates that materials from Asia to Northern Europe have fallen 60% in the past 3 weeks. Container shipments, major railroads and trucking in the US have also seen a dramatic reduction which usually signals a recession will follow. In contrast Facebook just announced a 78% surge in digital advertising and the Bureau of Labor just announced an increase of 271,000 jobs which is almost 100,000 more over the last 3 month average. Other topics include: The Bitcoin frenzy, Gold, the debt auction investigation, Germany on the Brink and the Phoenix VA stonewall.
